We are in the midst of summer. Bazaars are full of people enjoying the festivities in preparation of the upcoming Eid-ul Fitar. The summer may have left us all a bit drained during Ramazan, but worry not, I present to you three drinks that you can quickly whip up and serve your guests on Eid! I feel it’s always better to serve something freshly made rather than soft drinks, don’t you?
Plum Lemonade is one of the freshest juices the season has to offer. Not to mention the super cooling effect of plums, especially when paired with lemons. Your guests are sure to love this one – especially the ones who have a long ride on their way to your place.
Next on my list is a special Mint Lassi. A glass of mint lassi can double the joy of summers, and also enhances your ability to beat the heat. If you have a family lunch planned this Eid then this is the perfect compliment to all desi dishes on the menu.
Mango Coconut Smoothie
We are blessed every summer with the king of fruits: Mangoes! So here is my last drink for the season – a Mango Coconut Smoothie – my jewel of the summertime. This great combination of mangoes and coconuts will absolutely complete your Eid, and can also be served with light snacks.
So don’t get yourself roasted in this hot summer and add these top three refreshing drinks to your Eid menu.
