Eid ul Fitr is incomplete without a bowl of sewiyaan welcoming us as we walk into the kitchen groggy eyed to wish the family a very happy Eid. As a kid, the fondest memories of Eid are associated with  waking up in the early hours of the day and helping amma make  Sewiyaan for bhai and abba. They both insist on having only sewiyaan after the Eid namaz.

No doubt, Sewiyaan are irreplaceable when it comes to Eid. There are plenty of ways to make the best vermicelli dessert and we came up with the 3 best versions for you:

Doodh Sewiyaan:

Nothing beats the traditional Doodh Sewiyaan on Eid morning. It’s light and surprisingly super refreshing, and not to mention super yummy. If you don’t know how to make this then you can try our recipe here.

Vermicelli Dessert:

Although doodh sewiyaan are the favorite of many, there are some that like their sewiyaan dry. For those few, here is a super quick vermicelli dessert that you can impress the guests with.

Sewiyon ka Muzaffar:

What can beat the aroma of cardamom with sewiyaan cooked on dam? Pretty much nothing. You would love to serve this one as a dessert after a hefty Eid feast. Check out the recipe here.

Amina Mazhar

Ever since I was a kid, eating has been a hobby. Once I grew up, I started stepping into the kitchen more often. Although I love to cook everything but baking is something I am very passionate about. Its my therapy and it definitely takes me to my happy place. Ofcourse, this hobby of mine also caters to my hyper sweet tooth as well, which is an added bonus. Because baking is something that I have learnt from my mother so it has a very emotional value for me. Since times immemorial I have seen my mom experiment with baking in the kitchen, I like to believe she has passed that skill on to me as well (I know i can never surpass her awesomeness).
