PSL is in full swing as we are coming closer to the final, the excitement levels are rising too. So, I thought let’s create a star-studded (salsa studded) recipe for the finals. Nachos supreme was the recipe that I wanted to create a desi version of, don’t get me, wrong guys, the original Mexican recipe is amazing but you know I wanted a desi kick to it (didn’t want to use packed nachos don’t like their taste either). So I added chicken and instead of the original tortilla chips, I used roll patti cut in triangles and deep fried them. Nachos are pretty versatile you can add topping as per your taste and even omit the ones you don’t like there are no hard and fast rules. For your convenience, I have broken down the recipe into steps that will make it hassle free. Prepare the ingredients beforehand except for the nachos strips if there is more time between serving and preparing the nachos can lose their crispiness. The sauces can be prepared and refrigerated but cheese sauce will need to be warmed before serving.



  • One pack square roll patti sheets
  • Oil for deep frying


  • Breast fillet – 500gms
  • Chat masala  – 1tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Yogurt – ½ cup

Sour cream:

  • Cream two packets
  • Salt –  ¼ tsp
  • Vinegar – 3tbsp
  • Lemon juice –  ½ cup
    (adjust tanginess as per taste)

Salsa sauce:

  • Onion – two large finely chopped
  • Tomatoes – 8 finely chopped
  • Green chilies – 4-5 finely chopped
  • Coriander –  finely chopped
  • Chilli sauce – 1 ½ cup
  • Vinegar (optional)
  • Red chili powder optional

Cheese sauce:

  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Cheddar cheese – 200 gm
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Cream – ½ cup


  • Black olives diced for topping
  • Jalapenos diced for topping
  • Iceberg lettuce cut in thin strips
  • Preparation time : 20 Minutes
  • Cooking time : 30 Minutes
  • Number of servings (yield) : 6 – 8 Individulas



Cut the roll patti in triangular shape and deep fry them in batches till they turn light brown. Take them out on a paper for drying the oil.

2. Chicken:

Marinate the chicken in yogurt and all the spices and then fry it with a bit of oil in the pan. The chicken should be cut into thin strips not thicker than ½ inch and 2 inches long. Keep the chicken aside when it’s done.

3. Sour cream:

Take cream in a bowl and add all the ingredients including salt and mix it well. Leave it for a while and then check for tanginess if more is needed to add a bit of lemon juice.

4. Salsa sauce:

Take the chili sauce in a bowl and add all the vegetables that are finely chopped in it. Adjust the taste by adding more chilis or vinegar if there is the preference for more spicy food.

5. Cheese sauce:

Take a pan and add the milk in it. When the milk comes to a boil add the cream. After it’s mixed add the cheese when the cheese is all melted and the consistency is medium add the lemon juice. Cook it a while till a sauce-like consistency is achieved.

6. Assembling:

Start by putting the nacho on the base of the serving dish add the salsa, sour cream, olives, jalapenos and ice berg lettuce. Keep layering and adding sauces. Top the nachos with the cheese sauce or you can keep it aside for serving with the nachos. Enjoy see you in the Finals Inshaa Allah!!!
