1. Yogurt Pasta
Yogurt pasta is innately satisfying and enriching. This is a ‘one pot’ pasta dish (well, sometimes two pot. Hmm). But I do think this is as easy as a pasta dish can get. Yogurt pasta has the perfect blend of soup and pasta, and is my personal comfort food of choice! The final pasta can be left with a little gravy and can be enjoyed as soupy pasta.
2. Peri Peri Chicken
Peri Peri Chicken is a classic Portuguese dish, introduced by Nando’s in late 1987 in South Africa. Peri peri, aka African Bird’s Eye Chili, is derived from the Swahili word ‘pili pili’, which literally means pepper or spicy chili. The classic peri peri sauces are a blend of bird’s eye chili, garlic, herbs, and lemon – a combination that if done properly simply melts into your mouth. Try out our version!
3. Mutton Stew
A traditional mutton stew is a combination of mutton with vegetables. We used carrots, peas, and potatoes and slowly cooked them with the meat, allowing the flavors to mingle and form a smooth gravy. It turned out to be a real treat, with simple flavors. Try out our recipe.
4. Pan fried noodles
The noodles are pan-fried, resulting in a crispy texture. No deep frying or boiling is required. This is the key to making this recipe so unique. The other key to this recipe is the sauce, which is used for binding the flavor. A thick sauce with a good consistency (like gravy) is added on top of the stir-fried chicken and vegetables. It clings to the crispy noodles, thus enhancing the flavors of the dish. Here’s our simple recipe.
