Its a must have if you ever visit Peshawar. Jalil Kabab in Hayatabad is known for its Chapli Kababs and its called the hub of Chapli Kababs. Here’s the traditional way of making the Chapli Kabab


  • Minced Beef-1 Kg
  • Onions chopped – ½ Kg
  • Tomatoes Chopped- 1 cup
  • Green Chillies- As Required
  • Coriander-As Required
  • Red Chillies Whole-4
  • Zeera- 2Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground coriander- 4 Tbsp
  • Ajwain- 1 Tbsp
  • Crushed Red Chillies  4 Tbsp
  • Garam Masala ½ Tsp
  • Eggs- 2
  • Makai ka Atta ½ Cup
  • Tomato Slices – As required


  • In a grinder add all dry spices grind well.
  • Add it to the meat and mix well.
  • Leave for few hours.
  • Then make chapli kabab.
  • Place a tomato slice on top and fry.
  • Enjoy with mint chutney and naan.
