Fauzia belongs to Jhang and is currently residing in the slums in F-11. She has been sowing clothes for 7 years now. Her children attend the LettuceBe Kids school for unpriveleged children in Islamabad. Her kids helped her write down this recipe for us.

Coming from a Punjabi family, food in her home is cooked spicy and is enjoyed thoroughly.  She adds that there is no gas available in the area so she and all the women in the vicinity cook the food by burning wood. For making chappatis/roti they all have tandoor aka mud kilns in their home.  The food is cooked in a  “handi” and wooden spoons are used.

Her recipe for Aloo Gobi is loved by her kids for any meal of the day. She also mentions how the leftovers can make the best fillings for parathas.
