This is an easy and o-so yummy recipe. The benefits of bottle gourd (Loki) as a veggie are great- it helps in controlling cholesterol level. This veggie should be part of our diet once a week. The recipe doesn’t use tomatoes or red chillies and a great way to cook this vegetable. You just need to make sure that Loki is fresh when you pick it from market. You can test by pressing with your nail. If its green from the inside that means its fresh. If the vegetable is not fresh you will have a hard time cooking it. Actually it can take hours to cook through in a pan! We have had some bad experiences cooking after picking bad Loki.
