What’s that one thing in the refrigerator that doesn’t let you sleep peacefully till you have finished it? Yup, you guessed it right. It’s NUTELLA! Since the moment you get the first taste of this heavenly creation of man, you just cannot put it down. Did you know that Nutella was created due to the shortage of cocoa in World War II?
We all have our Nutella moments, whether it’s dipping your fingers in the jar to sneak a bite or two or just finding an excuse to spread it over bread or buns for a midnight snack. Diets are ruined and resolutions are broken due to Nutella. But hey, you don’t hear anyone complaining because it’s one thing that just possibly cannot be bad.
There is a good news for all the Nutella lovers in Islamabad. A small food joint in F-11 is fulfilling all your Nutella wishes and they’re doing it awesomely. We’re talking about *drumroll* The Nutella Spot. Yes, it’s called that and there couldn’t have been a better option for a name of a food joint that’s dedicated to celebrating and spreading the Nutella love.
The Nutella spot is located at a very prominent spot in F-11 Markaz. You would be driving on the main boulevard and your eyes will get fixated at the sign and bayum you’d be mindlessly turning your car towards Nutella spot. You would climb up to the stairs and see this view:
Beautiful isn’t it? It’s all about Nutella. Everywhere as far as your eyes can see it’s Nutella (Heaven). The place has a nice feel and atmosphere. As the co-owners of the Nutella spot Saqib and Rimmel put it: “We designed this place ourselves, keeping every aspect in mind, from the counter top to the live baking station” These two also have a love for cooking and baking. Now we know who came up with the awesome menu. Well these are true food entrepreneurs folks!

One very interesting thing about Nutella spot that we loved was the live baking part. Yes, these guys bake everything in front of you. There is no concern of hygiene as everything is assembled in front of you.
“I could have put up barriers between the assembling/baking section and the customers but I chose not to, I wanted to introduce the concept of live baking in Pakistan and keep that relationship of affection with the customers” –Rimmel, Owner and Co founder Nutella spot
Of course things aren’t always easy for the food entrepreneurs in Pakistan. As Rimmel and Saqib told us that they had to do everything from the power connections to the drainage themselves, since the space had no such facilities. But we’re glad that Saqib and Rimmel stood the ground and opened this place up. Nutella lovers in Islamabad are thanking them at this very moment , we’re sure of that.
From the Nutella jars on the walls, the chalkboard menu to the quirky sayings about Nutella. The place has been designed perfectly. Now time to get to the thing that you have all been waiting to hear about. The menu, Have a look:
As you can see. The menu is all about the star i.e Nutella. According to Rimmel and Saqib this is just the introductory menu, we wonder what else they have in store for us!
Have you ever heard of Nutella Pizza? well these guys have it. It’s topped with Kiwis and bananas and I must say it’s such a refreshing combination, it blows your taste-buds away. Don’t worry if you don’t like Kiwis though they always ask you if you want them or not.
The Nutella crepes were also something that your taste buds will remember long after you have finished them. The crepes are made to perfections filled with Nutella, topped with fruits and served with whipped cream on the side. (We would love to have more of the whipped cream on the side! Definitely asking them)
The favorite from the menu though are the Nutella eclairs. These are not you regular cream puff topped with chocolate and passed off as eclairs. They are the real deal with a slightly crunchy exterior, a mildly sweet cream filling and topped with, you guessed it right, Nutella :’).
As we mentioned before. Everything about the place has been so nicely detailed and the take away bags are definitely not an exception. With quirky lines, these are way better than any gift wrapping and of course the Nutella products inside. The best gift for a loved one.
Another awesome thing to look forward to is the under construction sitting area for families and the Nutella sundae. Soon these guys will be serving you Nutella sundaes in Nutella jars and that my friends is as good as it gets. (Yes, you heard it first here!)
As you can probably guess. We are in love with this place and this is surely going to become our go to place for desserts!

Ever since I was a kid, eating has been a hobby. Once I grew up, I started stepping into the kitchen more often. Although I love to cook everything but baking is something I am very passionate about. Its my therapy and it definitely takes me to my happy place. Ofcourse, this hobby of mine also caters to my hyper sweet tooth as well, which is an added bonus.
