I weigh close to 90kgs. One look at me and its easy to guess how fond I am of eating burgers – half my belly is filled with em. With my (extensive) experience, here are the top five burger joints that have my blessing…
Number 1 – Char Grill Central – CGC (Sector F-7)
Do you want to feel special? If yes, go for the CGC-Overdrive, with their signature beef patty sprinkled with jalapeno and special sauce. Serving a very small menu (only three items), the boys at Char Grill Central are making sure that they keep those taste buds satisfied. I tried all the three, and trust me they were par excellence and total value for money.

Number 2 – Howdy (Sector F- 7/3)
If you’re a cowboy at heart and want to have a real good meal, this is the place for you’ve been looking for. What stands out here is their live cooking, that serves healthy, high quality food at great value. Plus, they have a friendly and lively atmosphere. I’d recommend their Rodeo Glory burger, that’s sure to satisfy your beef cravings from the very first bite.

Number 3 – Cannoli by Cafe Soul (Beverly Centre, Nazim-ud-din Road)
This is the perfect place to dine with your friends and family. And let me tell you, as I’m writing this review, their Beef Cheeseburger is circling around in my eyes. Another great item on their menu is the Blue Blaze Burger – which is a special patty with tangy cheese melting in your mouth, it will blow your mind. I’d say even the mighty Hardees doesn’t come close.

Number 4 – The Warehouse (Sector F-7)
The Warehouse is a peculiar and quirky restaurant that has opened its way into the hearts of foodies in Islamabad. With its modern interior, the cozy little bistro will leave you amazed as soon as you walk in. The meat here is cooked in a vacuum (yes you read that right). This gives the meat unmatched flavor, and is like nothing you’ve had anywhere else. The Roast Beef Panini, with its superbly done meat and cheddar melts in your mouth, and has my seal of approval.

Number 5 – Mr. Food (F-6 Supermarket)
The burgers here are a true work of art, and haven’t changed one bit over the years. And they don’t have to. This place has the works – a substantial patty, an oily wrapper and that exceptional red sauce that finishes the Mr. Food experience. While it may not be a classic burger joint, it stands firm in the history books as one of the best place for a burger in Islamabad.
