What is an Afghani burger you ask? Well, for starters the Afghani burger is a Naan filled with fries and meat fillings which range from meatloaf to sausages. Najeeb Spot came into being when young Najeeb decided to place a stall of fries at the main signal in F-10 Markaz in 2004. From there onwards this food entrepreneur changed several stalls due to issues with the authority, “I was always asked to move my stall elsewhere because of the large crowds it attracted”-Najeeb Abbasi
Eventually he bought his current shop F-10 Markaz with a small kitchen and assembling area for the burgers at the back. He is a trend setter for the food industry in Islamabad. Being the first one to start home delivery of food after midnight and staying open late into the night, he got all other restaurants and takeaways to up their game and stay open at late hours. He is the definition of true entrepreneur. “I come from a well off family, It is not like we had any financial constraints. I could have easily joined the family business. but I wanted something of my own . And so, I strive as hard as I can and the business is still growing at a great pace”-Najeeb Abbasi
The Afghani burger has been a companion for many when it came to late night cravings or just the need of a heavy lunch (and when we say heavy, we really mean it), especially for the student body in Islamabad. The Naan is jam packed with fries and meat filing of your choice topped with Najeeb spot’s signature sauce. The burger has a large serving and will satisfy your hunger right away. Ever since I was a kid, eating has been a hobby. Once I grew up, I started stepping into the kitchen more often. Although I love to cook everything but baking is something I am very passionate about. Its my therapy and it definitely takes me to my happy place. Ofcourse, this hobby of mine also caters to my hyper sweet tooth as well, which is an added bonus.
